To be tasted with egg noodles (tagliolini or fettuccine), butter and Parmesan cheese, linguine with tellina clams, crustaceans, fassona (veal sirloin) tartare, tortelli filled with pumpkin or with ricotta cheese, anchovies, bagna cauda (hot dip based on anchovies, olive oil and garlic), veal ribs.
AUBERGINE NO-MEAT MEATBALL
Ingredients:
- EVOO
- 2 aubergines, cut into small cubes
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- Sea salt
- 1 Lemon, juice and zest
- A handful of pitted black olives
- 1 red chili, finely chopped
- Fresh basil and rosemary
- 1 tbsp WHITE TRUFFLE balsamic vinegar
- 1 mug of breadcrumbs
- 4 tbsp pinenuts, toasted
Place a large frying pan over medium heat. Sizzle the aubergine and onion in a bit of EVOO.
When they have picked up a little colour and are almost done, add the garlic, a squeeze of lemon juice and grate over a good bit of zest.
Tip it into a food processor with the olives, chilli, herbs, white truffle balsamic vinegar,breadcrumbs and pinenuts.
Whizz till everything comes together and season. If it is a bit dry, add a splash of EVOO.
Shape into balls (should make 12 rounded tablespoon-sized ball).
Fry the balls in olive oil, when browned all over, serve with spaghetti and tomato sauce or have with a fresh salad.

We deliver Tuesday to Friday. Orders placed by 1pm will be dispatched the same day and will be delivered by our approved courier to arrive within 48 hours. Please be aware that all packages MUST be signed for, checked first and cannot simply be left in a garage or porch.
Orders placed after 1pm will be dispatched the following day.

Because we use small suppliers and sell a lot of seasonal products, all goods featured on our website are subject to availability. We endeavour to keep the website updated but if a product you order should be unavailable you will be notified of this by phone or email and given the chance to choose an alternative item, cancel your order completely, or put it on back order to wait until it is in stock (we will ship your other items to you if you wish).
If we are unable to contact you we will go ahead and dispatch the rest of your order without the said item.
